A Bybrand alternative is worth a look when you like Bybrand’s low entry price but your team is growing, and you would rather not pay for each extra signature or synced employee. Bybrand is a hosted signature manager with integrations that fill signatures from your user list. emailfooter, which we make, is a free plugin that gives every employee a shared design to install themselves.
We make emailfooter, so read this Bybrand alternative comparison as coming from one side. We opened Bybrand’s pricing page and its automation page on 5 October 2026, and every statement about Bybrand below comes from them. If something was not on those pages, it is not in this article.
Bybrand alternative: the short version
- Bybrand’s base plan was $8 a month on its pricing page in October 2026, with up to 10 signatures and a 14-day trial that needs no credit card.
- Extras: $0.80 a month for each additional signature made by hand, or $0.50 a month for each employee synced through an integration.
- Pick Bybrand if you want a hosted tool with Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 and Zoho CRM integrations, single sign-on and six languages.
- Pick emailfooter if you want no per-signature or per-employee fee and your data on your own WordPress site.
What Bybrand offers, from its own pages
Bybrand’s pricing page describes one base plan with a full signature editor. You can start from a pre-made template, from scratch, from a LinkedIn profile, from your own HTML, or by converting plain text to HTML. The page also lists cloning and sharing, version history, an HTML editing mode, unlimited image hosting, and integrations that include a QR code and Google Maps.
For teams, the page lists access for up to five users, with editor and manager roles, and admin features: two-factor authentication, Google Workspace single sign-on and Microsoft 365 single sign-on. It says the product runs in English, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish (Mexico), German, French and Italian. Support is by chat, run by humans and a chatbot, and by email Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM Brazil standard time.
The automation page is where the team features sit. It says you can upload an employee list as a CSV file, import it from an integration or add people by hand, then link one standard signature to an automation. It names these connections:
- Google Workspace, which it says syncs user data to apply corporate signatures across the team
- Zoho CRM, which uses team contact data to personalise signatures
- Outlook add-in, which it says displays corporate signatures in Outlook
- Freshdesk and Google Sheets, named as sources for filling in details
It also describes bulk actions, including sending a quick guide on how to paste a signature to everyone.
Bybrand pricing, read in October 2026
The Bybrand pricing page shows prices in US dollars by default and offers a currency switch to AUD, BRL, CAD, EUR, GBP, MXN and INR. It describes one plan with add-ons.
| Item | Price on the page | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Base plan | $8 a month, billed monthly | The full editor and up to 10 email signatures, plus the features above |
| Each additional email signature | $0.80 a month | Signatures created by hand |
| Each employee in automation | $0.50 a month | Employees synced through integrations |
The same page offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and says the trial gives access to the full product. Payment is by credit card (Visa and Mastercard) or PayPal. It states a 30-day money-back guarantee and says you can cancel at any time and delete your information yourself in the system.
As simple arithmetic on those published rates, the monthly cost works out as follows. These are our calculations, not figures taken from the page, and they leave out taxes.
| Signatures | Created | Our arithmetic | Monthly total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 | By hand | $8 + (10 × $0.80) | $16 |
| 30 | By automation | $8 + (30 × $0.50) | $23 |
| 50 | By automation | $8 + (50 × $0.50) | $33 |
| 100 | By automation | $8 + (100 × $0.50) | $58 |
That is a low price for a hosted tool, and it is worth saying so. The per-employee fee is what makes a Bybrand alternative interesting only as the team grows: the bill rises with each person, though slowly.
Is emailfooter a good Bybrand alternative for a team?
The plugin side of this comparison is emailfooter, which Ulrea publishes under the GPL for WordPress. An admin sets up one signature: ten layouts and 24 colour themes to start from, or a custom HTML template using merge tags. Each employee follows an invitation link, edits only their own details with a live preview in light and dark, and copies the result as a rich signature, HTML or plain text. Install guides exist for 16 mail apps.
The admin can add a legal footer to every signature and lock the phone rule so staff cannot swap the number. Analytics count copies and installs, not clicks. Teams without a site of their own can ask about emailfooter Managed, which hosts the same software and is priced on request.

Where Bybrand is the better choice
A Bybrand alternative is the wrong choice in these cases:
- You want signatures filled from a user source. Bybrand lists Google Workspace and other integrations that sync employee data. emailfooter does not read your directory, so each person enters their own details.
- You want it set up without a WordPress site. Bybrand is hosted, with nothing to install or update.
- You want single sign-on. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 sign-on are on its feature list. emailfooter has neither.
- You work in more than English. Bybrand lists six languages. emailfooter is English only for now.
- You want version history and many ways to start. Its editor offers restore of past versions, LinkedIn-based creation and conversion from plain text.
- You want a short trial first. The 14-day trial asks for no credit card, and the money-back guarantee runs 30 days.
- You want the lowest price for a handful of people. At $8 a month, the base plan is cheap, and a small team may find hosting a WordPress site costs more.
Where emailfooter is the better Bybrand alternative
- No metering. As a Bybrand alternative, the plugin has no fee per signature and none per employee. A team of 100 costs the software nothing beyond your own hosting, domain and email delivery.
- Ownership. Employee details are stored in your own WordPress database, and the source code is yours to read.
- A fixed look. Layout, colours, logo and legal footer are the admin’s call, and staff change only their own details.
- Agencies. As a Bybrand alternative, Agency mode lets one install hold many client companies, with your own branding on the app (one brand per install). Our piece on email signature management for agencies covers the model in more detail.
The cost of this Bybrand alternative is manual work. After a redesign, everyone pastes the new version, nobody tells the admin who has not, and no link to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 does it for them.

Four questions for choosing a Bybrand alternative
These four questions decide whether a Bybrand alternative is worth the switch.
- Do you want signatures filled in and applied for people? If yes, a tool with integrations such as Bybrand’s is the right category, and our list of software built for teams shows others.
- Is the team likely to grow past a few dozen people? If yes, per-employee fees add up and a free plugin starts to pay for itself.
- Do you need languages other than English, or single sign-on? If yes, stay with Bybrand or a similar hosted tool.
- Do you have a WordPress site, or can you buy Managed? If not, a hosted product is simpler.
If you are weighing a Bybrand alternative against larger products, the Letsignit alternative and Exclaimer alternative articles compare two of them in the same format.
