Looking for a Signitic alternative? Most of the decision rests on a single point. Do you want a hosted service that connects to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 and keeps signatures up to date for you, or a free tool where each person installs a shared design themselves? Signitic is the first kind. emailfooter, the plugin we make, is the second.
Because we make emailfooter, treat this Signitic alternative comparison as one side’s view. Every statement about Signitic below comes from its own pages, opened on 5 October 2026, and company claims are labelled as claims. We did not test Signitic. Where its pages leave a gap, we say so instead of guessing.
A Signitic alternative in brief
- Stay with Signitic if you want directory sync with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, clickable banner campaigns with statistics, and a vendor that says it hosts data in Europe.
- Look at emailfooter if you want no per-user fee, your staff can install their own signature, and you can run a WordPress site (or ask for emailfooter Managed).
- Check the free plan first. Signitic’s page lists it for up to 19 employees, so a small team may not need to switch at all.
- This is not a straight swap: emailfooter cannot auto-install, read a directory or count clicks.
What Signitic says it does
On its home page, Signitic presents itself as signature management for Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, aimed at marketing teams who want to work without waiting for IT. It lists a visual editor with display rules, clickable banners, A/B tests on banners, targeting by team, region, language or entity, Canva import for banner designs, role-based permissions and digital business cards reached by QR code or link.
For directories, it says the Microsoft 365 connection uses Azure Active Directory and the Google connection uses the Google directory. Joiners, leavers and job changes then update signatures without anyone editing them by hand.
It also makes security claims: ISO 27001 certification, data hosted in Europe with no transfers outside the EU, and official Google and Microsoft partner status. Those are Signitic’s statements, and we have not audited them. Its pages give several different customer counts, so we quote none of them.
Signitic’s plans and prices on 5 October 2026
The pricing page lists three plans.
| Plan | Price on the page | What the page lists |
|---|---|---|
| Free | No charge, no credit card | Up to 19 employees, 1 template, 1 banner campaign, a Signitic badge at the bottom of the signature, statistics kept for 7 days |
| Standard | €1 per user | Unlimited templates and campaigns, minimum 20 licences, A/B testing and statistics, a custom subdomain for deliverability, no Signitic logo |
| Custom | Book a demo | Advanced permission management, campaign targeting from CRM lists, HRIS or SFTP integration, digital business cards, a dedicated support team |
The page also offers 50 percent off for non-profits.
Two gaps matter when you budget. The text we read does not say whether €1 is per month or per year, and it does not mention VAT. Its ROI calculator, set to 100 employees, showed an annual cost of 1 200€. That fits €1 per user per month, but it is our reading, not a statement on the page. Ask Signitic to confirm before you plan around it.
On that reading, the Standard plan would cost €240 a year at the 20-licence minimum, €600 at 50 users and €1,200 at 100. That is our arithmetic, not a quote.
Is emailfooter a good Signitic alternative?
emailfooter comes from Ulrea and is released under the GPL as a plugin for WordPress. Nothing inside it sits behind a licence key or a plan, and it caps neither companies nor staff. The money goes on the site that runs it: hosting, a domain and a way to send invitations.
The company admin designs the signature once, choosing from ten layouts and 24 colour themes, with light and dark colours, fonts, logo placement, social icons, phone rules and an optional legal footer. Employees accept an invitation link (it expires after seven days), edit only their own details with a live preview, and follow numbered steps for one of 16 mail apps.
Not keen on running a site? emailfooter Managed puts the same software on our hosting, with prices quoted on request. The interface is English only at present.
Here is the kind of signature each employee ends up with:

Five differences when you pick a Signitic alternative
- How signatures reach mailboxes. Signitic connects to your Google or Microsoft account and says it deploys without involving IT. With emailfooter, each person copies the signature into their own mail app, which takes a few minutes each.
- The shape of the price. Signitic is free to 19 people, then priced per user. The emailfooter plugin is free at any size, and the real cost is the site that runs it.
- Banners and numbers. Signitic offers clickable banners, A/B tests and statistics. emailfooter has no banners, and its analytics count copies and install starts, not clicks.
- Where the data sits. Signitic says it hosts in Europe. With emailfooter your companies, people and signatures sit in your own WordPress database, on whatever host and region you chose. The plugin sends a weekly check-in (an install ID, site address, plugin, WordPress and PHP versions, and whether Agency mode is on), which you can switch off.
- Who runs the software. Signitic runs its service for you. With emailfooter you run it, or ask us to under Managed.
A Signitic alternative side by side
| Signitic | emailfooter | |
|---|---|---|
| Free option | Free plan for up to 19 employees, with a Signitic badge | Free plugin, no employee limit |
| Paid price | €1 per user on Standard (billing period not stated in the text we read) | None for the plugin. Managed is priced on request |
| Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 | Native connections, per its pages | No connection. Employees install by hand |
| Directory sync | Azure Active Directory and Google directory | No |
| Banner campaigns | Yes, with A/B testing | No |
| Statistics | Clicks on banners and links, by campaign or user, kept 7 days on the free plan | Copies and installs, by day, mail app and person |
| Digital business cards | Listed under Custom | No |
| Locked legal footer | Not stated in the text we read | Yes, an optional footer employees cannot edit |
| Hosting | Signitic’s service | Your WordPress site, or Managed |
| Agencies | Ask Signitic | Free Agency mode for many client companies |
Where Signitic is the better choice
- You want mailboxes updated without asking staff to do a thing.
- Marketing owns the signature and wants banners, scheduling and results it can read.
- You want a vendor to host the data and say where it lives.
- Your team is under 20 and the free plan is enough, with the badge accepted.
emailfooter does none of the automatic parts, and it would be dishonest to dress that up as a feature.
Where emailfooter is the better Signitic alternative
- Cost at scale. A team of 80 pays no per-user fee; the bill is hosting, a domain and mail delivery.
- Ownership. The code is open to read and change, and the site can move to another host.
- Agencies. With Agency mode on, one install can serve several client companies under your own branding.
- Simple scope. The design is shared and locked, and each person changes only their own details.
The trade-off is plain. Choosing emailfooter as your Signitic alternative trades automation for lower cost and more control.
A short test plan for a Signitic alternative
- Open the Signitic free plan with a pilot group and see how the badge looks in a real email.
- Ask Signitic in writing whether €1 is monthly or yearly, and whether VAT is added.
- Ask where signature images are hosted. Its pricing table says you can choose between remote and embedded images.
- Install the emailfooter signature for the same pilot group. Count how long it takes each person.
- Check what stops Signitic from updating mailboxes once you cancel. We found no answer in the text we read.
Keep the old setup running until everyone has switched. If you are weighing more managed tools, our roundup for teams, the Letsignit alternative page and the Exclaimer alternative page ask the same questions of other products. The overview of email signature management software explains what the category covers.
Deciding on a Signitic alternative
Three questions settle it for most teams.
- Can staff install their own signature? If so, emailfooter covers it. If the signature must appear without their help, you need a tool that deploys.
- Do you need banners or click results? If so, stay with Signitic or another marketing-minded tool.
- Is there anyone to run WordPress? If not, request Managed pricing or choose a hosted service.
If your team is small and the Signitic free plan fits, that is a perfectly good answer. A Signitic alternative earns its place when the per-user fee, the badge or the data location stops fitting. Check Signitic’s pages again before you decide, because prices and plans change.
