A SignatureSatori alternative makes sense when you want consistent signatures for a Google Workspace team but do not want to pay per signature or per user, or when you do not need signatures pushed into Gmail for you. The honest difference is the method. SignatureSatori reads your Google Directory and writes signatures into Gmail accounts. emailfooter, which we make, gives everyone one shared design and steps, and each person installs their own.
The makers of one of these two tools wrote this comparison, so weigh it accordingly. Each SignatureSatori fact comes from its own website, its pricing page or its Google Workspace Marketplace listing, all read in October 2026. If its pages were silent on something, it is not here.
SignatureSatori alternative: the short version
- SignatureSatori pushes signatures to Gmail from a template, syncs users and groups from Google Workspace, and is designed for Google Workspace addresses on your own domain.
- Its pricing has two routes: credits at about a dollar each, or a monthly subscription of about a dollar per user. Both are shown below.
- Pick SignatureSatori if you want signatures placed in Gmail for the team, kept in sync with your directory.
- Pick a free SignatureSatori alternative such as emailfooter if you accept that each person pastes their own signature and you would rather not pay per user.
What SignatureSatori does, from its own pages
SignatureSatori’s home page describes a signature management tool for Gmail, made by a company called AppSatori. Its generator page says you can create a signature from scratch or from a template, work in a visual editor or switch to HTML, and push the result to your team’s Gmail automatically. It says it pulls users, their details and groups (organisational units) from Google Workspace, and that you install it from the Google Workspace Marketplace with no SMTP setup or mail rerouting.
The Marketplace listing, shown as updated in March 2025 when we read it, adds detail:
- Support for Gmail Send As alias signatures.
- Import of user data from the Google Workspace Directory with custom mapping, plus Google profile photos and the domain logo.
- Different templates for different groups, and automatic set-up for new or moved users.
- A self-service page where staff enter their own details and request a change.
- A campaign planner with a calendar, and Google Analytics integration.
- Works with all Google Workspace versions, per the listing, including the legacy free edition, education and non-profit.
Two limits are stated on its get started page. A Super Admin installs it from the Marketplace, and anyone else is offered a guide to send their admin. And it is designed for Google Workspace addresses on a company domain, not private Gmail accounts such as name@gmail.com.
SignatureSatori pricing, read in October 2026
The pricing page has a currency switch between USD and EUR, and a note that VAT is not included. We read it in US dollars. New accounts get 5 free credits with no credit card. The page describes two ways to pay:
- Credits. Each credit covers a signature change for one user. After a credit is spent it stays valid for 24 hours, and you can keep editing that signature during that window. Credits are bought once, with a minimum of 10.
- Subscription. A recurring monthly payment with a minimum of 5 users. It adds unlimited signature changes, the marketing planner, and a daily automatic sync from Google Directory to SignatureSatori and then to each user’s Gmail. The FAQ says this daily sync also keeps the signature from being altered by employees in their own Gmail settings.
You can mix the two, for example by subscribing only the people whose signatures change often. The pricing page has an amount box for each, and the figures change with the quantity. We typed in three amounts:
| Amount | Credits, bought once | Subscription, per month |
|---|---|---|
| Smallest on offer | 10 credits: $11 ($1.10 each) | 5 users: $5.55 ($1.11 per user) |
| 25 | $26.75 ($1.07 each) | $26.75 ($1.07 per user) |
| 100 | $93 ($0.93 each) | $93 ($0.93 per user) |
In euros the page showed €9.90 for 10 credits and €5 for 5 users. The FAQ says the app does not directly support subscriptions longer than a month, but the company can arrange them if you ask. It also offers special prices for non-profit and educational organisations on request.
One sum of ours, not a figure from the page: a 25-person team that changes signatures once a year would spend about $26.75 on credits, while the subscription would be $26.75 every month. That gap is why the two options exist.
Is emailfooter a good SignatureSatori alternative?
emailfooter is GPL software from Ulrea that installs as a WordPress plugin. An admin chooses one of ten layouts, picks from 24 colour themes, drops in the logo and an optional legal footer, then invites colleagues. Each of them fills in their own details, checks the preview and works through numbered steps for their mail app. Gmail is one of the 16 apps with steps.
As a SignatureSatori alternative it is the opposite kind of tool where it counts: it does not connect to Google Workspace, does not read your directory, and cannot write into a mailbox. In return there is no credit, no per-user fee and no Google permission to approve. If you have no WordPress site, emailfooter Managed runs the same software on our side, with pricing on request.

Where SignatureSatori is the better choice
Be honest about what you need, because a SignatureSatori alternative that is free still costs you manual work. SignatureSatori is the stronger fit if:
- You want nobody to paste anything. Signatures go into Gmail from the template, and staff do nothing.
- People move and titles change. Directory sync and the automation for new or moved users keep details current.
- You use Send As aliases. The listing says alias signatures are supported. emailfooter has no such feature.
- You plan campaigns. The planner and calendar are part of the product.
- Your whole company is on Google Workspace. It is built for that and for nothing else.
Where emailfooter is the better SignatureSatori alternative
- Cost at larger headcounts. Nothing is charged per person, so a hundred staff cost no more than ten, hosting aside.
- More than Gmail. If part of the team uses Outlook or Apple Mail, the same design works in any app we have steps for.
- Not tied to Google. A SignatureSatori alternative that is a WordPress plugin needs no Marketplace app to approve and no admin permissions to grant.
- You own the data. Names and numbers live in your WordPress database.
- Agencies. Switch on Agency mode to keep several client companies in one install.
The trade-off with this SignatureSatori alternative is plain. Nothing refreshes a signature once someone has installed it, so a new title means that person installs it again.
Four questions to settle the SignatureSatori alternative choice
- Is every mailbox on Google Workspace with your own domain? If not, SignatureSatori covers only part of the team.
- Will you accept people installing their own? If yes, emailfooter is enough. If no, you are shopping for push tools, and our guide to Google Workspace signature software lists more of them.
- Do details change every month? If so, directory sync pays for itself. Our page on email signature directory sync explains what it does.
- Do you need a locked legal line? emailfooter’s footer is locked in the design, but only people who install it carry it.
For the Google side of the picture, read about Google Workspace email signature management, and for software that suits teams in general, see the roundup for teams.
A SignatureSatori alternative should be judged on whether you need signatures pushed. If you do, SignatureSatori’s credits and subscription are a modest cost. If you do not, a free tool with install steps may be all you need.
Frequently asked questions
Is SignatureSatori free?
Not entirely. Its generator page says creating a signature is free and you pay if you push it to Gmail. The pricing page gives new accounts 5 free credits with no credit card, then sells credits or a subscription.
How much does SignatureSatori cost?
In October 2026 the pricing page showed credits starting at $11 for 10 and a subscription at $5.55 a month for 5 users, with per-unit prices falling as quantity rose. VAT is not included. Check the page for current figures.
Does SignatureSatori work with Outlook?
Its pages describe a tool for Gmail and Google Workspace, and the Marketplace listing mentions setting up on other platforms and email clients. We did not find Outlook push described, so ask the company.
Is there a free SignatureSatori alternative?
emailfooter costs nothing as software and runs on your own WordPress site. The company gets one shared design, and each employee installs their own signature.
What is a good SignatureSatori alternative for Microsoft 365?
The SignatureSatori pages we read describe Google Workspace only. For Microsoft 365, see our guide to software for Microsoft 365 or use emailfooter, which has steps for Outlook.
