The problem
There’s no good tool for managing signatures across many clients
Marketing agencies, IT providers and consultants often handle email branding for dozens of clients, with a patchwork of HTML files, one-off instructions and email threads walking each client’s staff through copy-and-paste.
Every new client means rebuilding the same process. Every client rebrand means touching every affected employee’s signature again. It doesn’t scale, and it doesn’t look like the expert service you’re selling.
How emailfooter fixes it
A signature service you can deliver in minutes
Create a company for each client, set their design once, invite their team, and let each person install in their own mail app.
A company per client
Separate admins, branding, employees and signatures for every client, created in a minute.
Your brand on the platform
In Agency mode, add your logo, accent colour and name to the app, sign-in pages and emails. Switch the “Powered by” credit off if you like.
Onboard fast
Pick a layout, add the client’s logo and colours, invite the team. Employees take it from there.
Switch into any client
Open any client from the companies list and edit as yourself, with a clear banner showing where you are.
See rollout progress
People, installs and copies per client, so you know who has finished.
Your own email sending
Invitations and password resets go out through the mail provider you choose, from your own address.
Be clear with clients
What white-label means here
We’d rather you know the edges before you promise anything.
- One brand per install: your clients see your brand on the platform, while each client’s own logo and colours style that client’s signatures
- If every client must see only their own brand on the app, run one install per client
- English only for now; there are no translations yet
- Updates are manual: upload the newer zip
- It runs on your WordPress site and your domain, so you control hosting and support
It’s GPL, so it’s yours to build on
The plugin is free software. You can use it commercially, change it and charge for the service you build around it. If you share modified copies, they stay under the GPL.
You decide the price: per client, per employee or as part of a retainer. There is no licence fee and no revenue share.
Agency mode
Turn on white-label in two clicks
Agency mode is off by default, so a company installing the plugin sees a simple single-company setup. You switch it on once.
Install and activate
Upload the zip under Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin and activate it. The setup guide opens by itself.
Choose “I’m an agency”
On the first screen, click the line for agency owners. That turns on Agency mode and adjusts the rest of the guide for you.
Add your brand and your clients
Enter your agency name, logo and colour, then add a company for each client. You can change all of it later under Settings, Branding.
Changed your mind? Agency mode is a switch under Settings, General. Turning it off keeps your companies and branding, hides them, and brings the “Powered by emailfooter” line back.

FAQ
Agency questions
Can I really white-label it?
Yes, within one brand per install, once Agency mode is on. Under Settings, Branding you can set your logo, browser icon, accent colour, wp-admin menu name and an extra line for emails. You can also remove the “Powered by emailfooter” credit.
How do my clients log in?
You create the company with its admin’s email and an initial password and share it privately, or invite the admin with a link. Admins then invite their own employees.
Do my clients’ employees need an account?
Yes, a light one. They accept an invitation link, create a password and personalise their signature.
Can each client have their own domain?
An install lives on one domain. For a client-specific address, run a separate install for that client.
Is there a limit on clients?
The plugin sets none. Your hosting is the limit.
Does the plugin report back to you?
Yes, in a small way: it confirms your email with a code during setup and checks in about once a week with an install ID, your site address and versions, so we can count live installs. Client companies, people and signatures are never sent. You can disconnect or block it, and everything keeps working.
Who supports my clients?
You do, as part of your service. If you’d like us to take that on, ask about emailfooter Managed.
